Barefoot Bodyworker Workshops

Introduction to Thai Massage workshops

A welcoming, hands‑on introduction to the foundations of Traditional Thai Massage. This workshop is designed for complete beginners, curious bodyworkers, or anyone who wants to explore Thai massage in a relaxed, down‑to‑earth way. You’ll learn simple, effective techniques you can use safely at home, along with an understanding of how Thai massage works with movement, pressure, and breath.

These short, three‑hour workshops offer a gentle introduction to Thai massage, giving you a chance to explore the techniques in relaxed, bite‑sized sessions.

Integrating joint mobilisation and stretch in to massage

This 2‑day workshop is designed for qualified massage practitioners, bodyworkers, and holistic therapists who want to deepen their skills and bring more ease, flow, and effectiveness into their treatments.

Across the two days, you’ll explore how to integrate joint mobilisations, strategic stretches, and bodyweight‑driven pressure into your existing massage routine. These techniques, inspired by the principles of Traditional Thai Massage, help you work more deeply with far less strain, protecting your hands, wrists, and overall body while delivering a more therapeutic experience for your clients.

You’ll learn how to blend these methods seamlessly into your current style, enhancing the quality, depth, and adaptability of your treatments. Therapists often find that these skills not only improve client outcomes but also set their practice apart — supporting stronger client relationships, better results, and more word‑of‑mouth referrals

Abdominal Massage

Most massage training focuses on the areas clients request most often — back, neck, shoulders, or full‑body routines. While these skills are essential, abdominal massage is an area that is often overlooked, despite being one of the most transformative parts of truly holistic bodywork.

This workshop explores why abdominal work is not only beneficial but essential for supporting whole‑body health. By improving blood and energy flow to the organs, abdominal massage can ease digestive discomfort, reduce tension, and enhance overall wellbeing. Clearing fascial restrictions around the organs can also help relieve back pain, free the diaphragm, and support healthier, more spacious breathing.

Beyond the physical benefits, abdominal work often helps clients release stored emotional tension, offering a deeper sense of relief and integration. It also encourages lymphatic drainage, supporting the body’s natural detoxification processes.

Over the course of this training, you’ll learn a comprehensive blend of Chinese Anmo Fu, Korean abdominal techniques, and Thai-style abdominal work. These methods can be woven seamlessly into a full-body massage or offered as a powerful standalone treatment. You’ll gain hands‑on experience, a deeper understanding of the abdomen’s role in whole‑body health, and practical techniques you can bring straight into your practice.

Workshop Availability & Updates

All group workshops are temporarily on pause while I finalise a small change in venue. They’ll be running again very soon, and the updated schedule will be announced once everything is confirmed.

In the meantime, private tuition and small‑group training (up to 3 learners) can be arranged for any of the workshops at a time that suits you. These sessions are ideal if you prefer personalised learning, want to train with a friend, or need flexible dates.

If you have your own studio or treatment space, it’s also possible to host a workshop at your own venue. This can be a great option for therapy centres, yoga studios, or practitioners who want to bring training directly to their community.
