Most massage courses have a focus on the body areas which are more frequently requested, such as back, neck, or full body massage. While these techniques are valuable, abdominal massage is a treatment area that often gets neglected or minimized in training. By improving blood and energy flow to the organs, it provides releif for digestive issues and enhances overall health and well-being. This technique plays a crucial role in clearing fascial restrictions around the organs, which can alleviate discomfort and tension. Additionally, it aids in releasing back pain, allowing for greater movement in the diaphragm and promoting more effective respiration. Beyond physical benefits, abdominal massage also facilitates the release of stored emotions, enabling clients to experience emotional healing alongside physical relief. Furthermore, it encourages lymphatic drainage, supporting the body’s natural detoxification processes. This workshop will provide massage therapists with a comprehensive range of techniques combining Chinese anmo fu, with Korean and Thai style abdominal work, which can be seamlessly integrated into a full body massage routine or utilized as a standalone treatment. Participants will gain hands-on experience and deepen their understanding of the importance of abdominal work, ultimately elevating the quality of care they provide to their clients and enriching their professional practice.
